What did Cal Bruton say about Brisbane Bullets star Casey Prather?
Nothing was off limits when Prather joined the basketball.com.au podcast ahead of the team's Sunshine Stoush game against the Cairns Taipans on Thursday night. He addressed everything from alleged "emergency meetings" to injuries to important players, his own career-best form, and his belief that the current Bullets roster can still achieve something special.

Regarding Casey Prather, Bruton stated on Thursday's NBL Now edition:

"Prather should be in that [MVP] conversation. I'm always high on Casey, I've liked him since he first came in the league. He can rebound, he can defend. He's got all facets of the offensive game, the three-point, he can go inside and post you up, he's got mid-range. I love his game…”

When asked:

"Here's been a little bit of chat this week and Damon Lowry said on overtime that Javal McGee should be in the MVP conversation. If Javal McGee is in the MVP conversation for the team that was sitting last before we went into last round, Carol, how on earth could Casey Prather who is second in the league in scoring and keep playing well when Brisbane win?”

He then said:

“I don't pay a lot of attention to Damian Lowry shout outs, but at the same time, I see that yes, Pra should be in that conversation. If you're talking about teams that's not winning and still, you know, got individual players showing out, but um you know, Pra has been very consistent and to think of what he went through to get back to this point has been a tremendous accomplishment…”

He further added:

"I sit down and watch him. He keeps me on the edge of my seat like Bryce [Cotton]."
