A fire broke out at a multi-storey building in Moscow's outskirts - Krasnogorsk on Tuesday morning after it was hit by a Ukrainian drone, as TASS quoted the Russian defence ministry.
Two people were injured in the incident. Over 100 residents, including 30 children, were temporarily evacuated.
Several videos are circulating in social media where huge fumes of fire can be seen outside the building.
Russia’s defence ministry said that air defences destroyed 20 Ukrainian drones overnight across six regions, including Moscow, Kursk and Belgorod. Flights were temporarily suspended at Moscow's Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports and later resumed.
Andrei Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow region, said the drone started a fire on the 17th floor of the building, as reported by Sky News.
The injured included a 34-year-old man who sustained wounds to his arms and legs and a pregnant woman who was hospitalised after the attack.
The affected residents went back to the building after the fire was controlled.
