Lamborghini is poised to introduce its second hybrid supercar, the Temerario, in India tomorrow, signaling a new chapter in the brand’s electrification journey. Following the successful debut of the Revuelto, the Temerario will replace the Huracan in Lamborghini’s portfolio, offering a blend of cutting-edge technology, iconic design, and exhilarating performance. The supercar is expected to carry a price tag of approximately ₹6 crore (ex-showroom).
Bold New Design Elevates the Lamborghini LegacyThe Lamborghini Temerario debuts with an aggressive, futuristic design that departs significantly from the Huracan’s aesthetics. Its shark-nose front, distinctive hexagonal LED DRLs, and sharply contoured body lines deliver a commanding road presence. A centrally mounted exhaust system and aerodynamic enhancements, including a sleek fuel cap and streamlined ORVMs, further refine its performance credentials.
Lamborghini offers extensive customisation options for the Temerario, such as carbon-fibre wheels, enhancing both the supercar’s performance and visual appeal. Alloy wheels measure 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, ensuring optimal grip and handling.
Fighter Jet-Inspired Interior Packed with TechnologyInside, the Temerario mirrors the fighter-jet-inspired cabin design seen in the Revuelto. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster dominates the driver’s view, accompanied by an 8.4-inch vertically positioned infotainment touchscreen and a 9.1-inch passenger display.
The interior promises both comfort and practicality, featuring electrically adjustable, heated, and ventilated seats. The tactile steering wheel incorporates physical controls to enhance driver engagement. The Temerario offers 13 driving modes, including three hybrid-specific settings—Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance—plus an exclusive drift mode with adjustable traction control.
High-Performance Hybrid Powertrain Redefines Speed and EfficiencyAt the heart of the Temerario is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a trio of electric motors. Together, they deliver an astonishing 907 bhp and a peak torque of 2,150 Nm. The supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 343 km/h.
The plug-in hybrid system, backed by a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, supports regenerative braking and can be fully recharged in just 30 minutes via a 7 kW AC charger. This configuration enables the Temerario to balance blistering performance with sustainable driving options.
Chassis Innovation Promises Exceptional HandlingBuilt on a newly developed aluminium spaceframe, the Temerario boasts 20% greater torsional rigidity than the Huracan. This advancement ensures superior stability and responsiveness at high speeds. Enthusiasts seeking maximum performance can opt for the Alleggerita package, which sheds 25 kg from the car’s base weight of 1,715 kg through the use of additional carbon fibre components.
Enhanced stopping power is delivered by a state-of-the-art braking system, featuring 410 mm front discs with 10-piston calipers and 390 mm rear discs with 4-piston calipers, ensuring the Temerario’s immense speed is matched by formidable braking performance.
